Real Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in coordination with United Nations Nepal presents UN Traineeship Programme – Cohort V. This Traineeship Programme, a joint initiation between UN agencies to provide capacity building and professional training to university graduates from socially excluded groups, mainly focuses on developing their professional competencies and enhancing their employability prospects.
Initiated in April 2011, the United Nations has been carrying out this 11 months traineeship programme every year. The traineeship programme focuses on providing an opportunity to the applicants who are University graduates (minimum Bachelor’s degree), belong to a socially excluded groups, have passion to work in the development sectors, appreciate UN core values (Professionalism, Integrity & Respect for Diversity), etc.
The training program will also provide an opportunity to get involved in various training programs such as Skill Enhancement Training, Career Development Training, Personality Development Training, etc. Similarly, exposure to the real work experience and grooming in the right manner for the right job is what the trainees will be gaining from the programme.
“The exposure that I have had working in a multicultural and multi-ethnic team at UNICEF, with colleagues ranking all levels, I believe has helped to polish this competency with working with people”, says Mr. Sanjeev Singh, one of the former trainees at UNICEF. “I believe that the best results come when we work together as a team,” he added.
Every year about 36 participants get an opportunity to work with different UN agencies. They get an access to mentoring and practical experience in an international UN working arena through this traineeship programme.
