Role Purpose
The Programme Coordinator - HIV will be a key technical member of the HIV/AIDS Programme in programme planning, implementation and monitoring of all HIV related initiatives of Save the Children in respective region including government run service delivery sites. S/he is responsible for technical oversight and backstopping HIV prevention, treatment, care and support programmes and training activities to be implemented by Save the Children, National Centre for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC) and other relevant government partners in the region. The programme coordinator will work closely with the regional Sr. Programme Coordinators of Save the Children, Global Fund and government staff of NCASC, the Sub Recipients (SRs) and government Service Delivery Points (SDPs) of Global Fund Grant and other key stakeholders for quality service delivery at all levels.
Term and Location: Fixed term position till July 2015 with further possibility of extension based in Regional Office - Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Butwal and Nepalgunj
Required Qualification and Experience: At least Bachelor’s degree (Master's degree preferred) in Public Health or related Social Science with minimum 3 years of experience in Public Health project/programme management preferably in managing HIV/AIDS related project/programme; Proven experience of managing complex and big project would be an advantage.
