National Business Initiative (NBI) is a Nepalese private sector NGO dedicated to promoting inclusive economic growth and peace‐building through the private sector. To coordinate our efforts of supporting the socio‐economic rehabilitation of former combatants, we are looking for a strong net worker to support our team and our partner International Alert. The candidate will be based in our Kathmandu office with travel in Nepal. The position is on a three‐month contract with possible extension and will be filled as soon as possible:
POSITION: REHABILITATION COORDINATOR
Tasks:
- Support the private sector to develop programs aiming at the creation of employmentor entrepreneurship opportunities of former combatants
- Build up a strong network and linkages between private sector actors, governmentagencies and international organizations working on the topic
- Support our partners to develop additional training packages
- Support research in terms of labor shortages, skill requirements and entrepreneurshipopportunities as well as existing best practices
- Fill the gap between and link up trained former combatants and potential employers ondistrict level
- Organize, conduct and follow up on meetings/workshops between different stakeholders
- A detailed work plan & timeline will be developed with NBI board and our partner organization
Requirements:
- Master in Business, Economics, Political Science or related fields
- Fluency in English and Nepali (verbal and writing), other Nepalese languages are anasset
- Experience in working with private sector (individual businesses and associations)
- Experience in developing training concepts (English and Nepali)
- Experience in building successful partnerships and networks
- Excellent communication, presentation and conflict management skills
- Independent, proactive, strategic, pragmatic and flexible working attitude
- Willingness to extensive travel within Nepal
- At least 10 years of working experience
