  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in similar field.
  • S/he should have a high level of technical skills, 
  • knowledge and experience on strategic and annual planning in the area of CRG & Protection. 
  • S/he should have experience in all aspects of program development, proposal writing and resource mobilization.
  • S/he should demonstrate ability to work effectively in multi-cultural settings with a wide variety of stakeholders and present complex information in an understandable manner.
  • The position holder should have good advocacy and representation skills, excellent interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work under pressure/stress.
  • S/he should have expertise in Microsoft office package and fluency in Nepali and English language (spoken and written) and should be able to produce quality reports/documents in English for knowledge management and documentation.

Job Description

  • The Child Rights Governance (CRG) & Protection Specialist works closely with the Senior Advocacy, CRG & Child Protection Specialist to provide strategic direction, timely technical inputs and guidance to Save the Children’s CRG & Protection team and to ensure that high quality child focused CRG & protection programs are developed both in Nepal and Bhutan.
  • S/he will develop new and/or innovative child focused result oriented programs/projects, including leading and promoting child participation programming both at the national and field level.
  • S/he develops minimum standards for activities/interventions in CRG & Child Protection and revises/updates them for continuous improvement.
  • The Specialist will support the Senior Specialist to establish, maintain and strengthen relationships, linkages and collaboration with relevant government line ministries and child rights/civil society organizations (CSOs) to influence & support the formulation/reformulation of legal/policy framework on child rights in compliance with international human/child rights standards to promote the child rights agenda in the country.

Term and Location: Fixed term position and will be based in Kathmandu with frequent field visits
